Lutharo Interview 03/10/21
MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences
-
Lutharo is a heavy metal band from Hamilton Ontario. I use the term “heavy metal” loosely because we’re not really sure what genre of metal to call ourselves. We are kind of a mixed bag of things put together because we have so many different influences. Speaking of which, some of our biggest influences include Arch Enemy, Judas Priest, Unleash the Archers, Metallica and so much more!
MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from
-
Our inspirations and ideas spawn very spontaneously throughout life so it’s kind of hard to pinpoint exactly where they come from. If we are talking specifically about lyrics, Krista writes mainly about her own life experience and things she feels passionately about.
MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?
-
I don’t think we would be able to decide on a favourite song as a collective. Our musical tastes always vary.
MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2021
-
Hopefully something in the very near future!
MM: What can we expect from you guys live
-
You can expect ALOT of energy, crowd interaction and overall a very tight musical performance.
MM: What do you like best and worst about touring
-
The best thing about touring is waking up everyday knowing you’re doing what you love every single day and the worst would probably be lack of sleep.
MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
-
Arch Enemy is at the very top of the list but also Unleash the Archers and Jinjer.
MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why
-
That would be very hard to narrow down! I’m sorry! There has been so many memorable shows and experiences.
MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with
-
Completing our very first full length album definitely has to be up there! Also opening for Alestorm in Toronto.
MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
-
I can tell you what my all time favourite album is and that’s “Black Sabbath” by “Black Sabbath”. As for second place, that is changing constantly.
MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?
-
For sure I remember! I was incredibly nervous and thought I was going to throw up before hitting the stage but that all went away after the first song.
MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
-
Well once again that’s hard to narrow down because my walls were covered in posters to the point where you couldn’t see the walls anymore and it’s still like that to this day.
MM: Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person
-
Black Sabbath definitely has to be up there. They were one of the first, if not the first to create a heavy sound.
MM : What's the most important thing to the band right now?
-
The most important thing to us as a band is to stay true to who we are and finally get to a point where we can quit day jobs and become full time touring musicians.
MM: If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
-
I’ve been asked this many times and I’m still not sure. I would love to do a vocal cover of “We all die young” by “Steel Dragon” in the movie “Rockstar”. I realize this is not a real band but that soundtrack kicks so much ass!
MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band
-
If you want something energetic and refreshing, we are the band for you!
MM: Four words to describe your Band
-
powerful, sinister, emotional, magnetic
MM: Final Words for your fans and our readers
-
