                                                                                                           Vertilizar    Interview  28/01/20

MM: Which song would you choose for someone new to your band to listen to from your new EP.
VR: It really depends on the preferences of the listener, but based on ours we would recommend track 2 “Bow
Down” because it is the heaviest and most powerful track on the EP

MM: The EP is called “Never Walk Alone” why that title
VR: In times like these a lot of people yearn for social contact and find some comfort in music - that’s why “Never
Walk Alone” seems to be the perfect title for our new EP.

MM: Do you have plans to release a full album at some point?
VR: Absolutely! The 2nd EP is not released yet, but we are already working on new stuff - planning to put this new
material on a full length album.

MM: Can you tell us your plans for the year
VR: As already mentioned, we are working on material for a full length album and of course lot’s of very interesting
gigs are listed on our concert plan for 2020. Additionally we want to go further on producing music videos.

MM: What can we expect from Vertilizar live?
VR: When we have a look at the past 2 years, Vertilizar made big steps on performing live shows and won’t stop.
People who come to our live shows can expect a total new concept. Bigger stages - bigger shows!

MM: What do you like best about being in a band and what's the worst?
VR: Every musician loves to be on stage. There you get the energy you need to continue. The feeling of inspiring
people with your music is what an artist lives from.
The worst of being in a band is definitely not to be in a band. :-)

MM: how do you rate the importance of being seen live and meeting fans whenever possible?
VR: In our opinion performing live is one of the most important activities a band can focus on.
Your fans enable you as an artist to live your passion and you should always keep that in mind.

MM: I have lost count of the many Austrian Bands I have interviewed...so can you tell me how difficult is it to stand
out from your peers
VR: The whole world is full of genius musicians! Everybody of Vertilizar loves to discover new music but of course
this does not help you standing out of the crowd. Having a successful band doesn't just mean producing high
quality music, it takes a lot more. There is no recipe that promises success, but hard work and a high level of
professionalism will pay off one day. And that’ what we do right now.

MM: Which three Bands would you love to go on tour with?
VR: Phuh... not so easy to answer, but Seether, Staind, Alter Bridge are definitely high on the list.

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why?
VR: Steel Panther - Because of B**bs :-)

MM: Which are your Two favorite albums of all time and what they have meant to you personally
VR: Blackbird by Alter Bridge and Phobia by Breaking Benjamin - genius riffs and very soulful melodies.

MM: Can you remember the first time you played live and what it meant to you
VR: The first time I played live was apart from Vertilizar, but together with Olli - It was a birthday party of his aunt.
Since then I have never played “Smells like teen spirit” so energetic again - 16 year old Thomas on the drums :-)

MM: Can you tell me why we should buy “Never Walk Alone”
VR: Because it rocks.

MM: Four Words to describe Vertilizar

VR: Humor, Energy, Motivation, Teamwork

MM: Quick Fire Round
1.Festival or Small intimate gig - Festival
2.Vinyl or Digital - Digital
3.Alice in Chains or Nirvana - Nirvana
4. Bacon or Carlsberg - What the hell is “Carlsberg”? :-)
5.Lego or Playstation - Lego

Final words:
Thank you for the opportunity and everybody who would like to support us on our way may save us on modern
streaming services to be always up to date.
We are always happy to receive feedback and promise to write back.
Rock on!
