MM:For anyone who’s never heard you before — what’s the first thing you want blasting through their skull when they hit play on The Steve’s Band?
The immediacy and sonic impact of a rock power trio: raw, direct, and no-frills... the recording is utterly authentic-genuine performances honed by years of garage rehearsals.
MM:The opening solo is class and a great into how many takes was that or was it wam bam thank u mam
First of all, thank you for your kind words and appreciation... Yes, it was recorded in a single take, with no effects and without ever having rehearsed it beforehand... Just guitar into the amp-raw and direct... hence the ironic, hilarious name...
MM:“Kick‑ass album — especially ‘Self Control’ and the gospel‑infused ‘Time’. Both tracks deserve to be tearing up the national charts, no question in my mind.” Fair Comment?
Thanks again for your thoughts...Yes, because I believe these tracks-especially "Self-Control"-are rich in melody in both the verses and the choruses; despite their complexity, they come across as very accessible and melodic right from the first listen... which is why they can reach a wider audience...
MM:The reason has that funk munkey early chilli peppers groove was that mean
Hmm... I'd never really thought about that... It's a very pop track, but each of the three of us arranged it in our own way-as we do with every song-and yes, now that I think about it, it does have a very funky groove, with a bouncy drum and bass feel, even though it's a pop ballad...
MM: If this album had a warning label, what would it say?

MM: What’s the riff on this record that made you all look at each other and go, “Yeah… that one’s gonna cause trouble”?
All The riffs from Self Control Hard to play !!!
MM:If each member had to pick one track they’d tattoo on their arm, which one are they choosing and why
I don't know about the other two... but as for me, I couldn't pick just one... because they all reflect who I am: still within the realm of rock, yet distinct and rich with influences drawn from everything I've listened to... that's why I'd get the name of the entire album tattooed -the one that captures my very essence: *Street Rock Rider*
MM: BMX culture is all over your identity — what’s the most painful, stupid, or glorious BMX moment that somehow shaped your sound?
For me, the moment I managed to perform live on TV-grabbing my BMX to put on a freestyle show set to my own tracks-felt like the ultimate fusion of the rock and street-sport worlds: raw, direct, and visceral, with no compromises and no rules.
MM:Do u still BMX ?
Absolutely... I love the bicycle as a mode of transport-it's natural and deeply connected to the human being. It makes me feel good-beyond just the freestyle aspect, which is like a drug to me, just like rock music. It makes me feel good... alive... I couldn't live without it.
MM:What part of street culture shaped your sound the most — the noise, the danger, or the freedom?
Freedom of expression-absolute and boundless-which is also reflected in the variety of our tracks... all composed together in the rehearsal room, starting from improvisation or free-flowing vocal melodies.
MM:What’s the next evolution of The Steve’s Band — bigger riffs, bigger ramps, or bigger madness?
For the next album, I'd like to compose tracks that are even more closely tied to BMX freestyle... I don't know how I'll do it or what will come of it... I always draw inspiration from the magic of the moment... who knows?
MM:What city or venue feels like home turf — the place where the crowd becomes part of the band?
We've played in all sorts of venues, from small clubs to big stages... but what I love most is playing in different settings-places where people aren't necessarily there just for the music, like special events or tattoo conventions. In those environments, the audience's reaction-often from a very young crowd-tends to be more genuine and direct; it's unencumbered by musical preconceptions regarding genre or technical proficiency, and

MM:What’s next after Street Rock Rider — evolution, revolution, or total chaos?
I really wouldn't know... I just hope to keep trying to write beautiful songs that make me feel good-songs that reach the listener and manage to make them feel those same emotions...
