Switchblade Jesus
MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences
We’re a heavy metal band born of thrash and doom that has is trying to make its mark with our own blend of mayhem. Influences range from Neurosis, High on Fire, Sepultura and Sabbath
MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from
Our own personal experiences in life and things that hold value to one’s self. Also the power of the riff is most important, needs to be heavy but needs to groove
MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?
Red Plains, it’s an energetic fast past riff that dances off the fretboard while the drums take you on a ride as the bass cements you in for a time of your life
MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2021
A few festivals are in place one being
Ripplefest but we’ll see how the general public responds to events again and see where we can take it
MM: What can we expect from you guys live
A hailstorm of riffs and an unrelenting chaos of groove and in your face vocals. Once it starts it doesn’t stop, like an uncontrollable freight train
MM: What do you like best and worst about touring
The people and fans and the lack of Whataburger in every state
MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
High on Fire, Stonecutters and Destoyer of Light. All three are great buds and would all slay the stage

The main support for Behemoth was amazing, also the first time at Maryland Doomfest will be a memorable one
MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with
Me and my friends starting a band and putting out vinyl, that alone is my favorite thing in the world
MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
Death’s Human and Pantera’s Vulgar Display of Power
MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?
It was nerve racking as hell. I showed up to an open mic with just my guitar and sat in with the house band. Had no idea what the hell was goin on, but I was getting on that stage somehow
MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
A glow in the dark White Zombie that I still have
MM: Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person
Dimebag for sure, I’m from Texas and lived off the Home videos and Metallica’s Cliff’m All

Just have fun and stop worrying. We’re pretty much a machine now and focus on what we want as music and our own ideas on how things should sound
MM: If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
There’s so many, but we did do a cover of Who Was In My Room Last Night because it’s by one of the best TX bands to ever come out of this state

We’re a style of metal and music that you’ve loved since you were a kid. No fake gimmicks or nonsense, all the fat has been cut and it just lean true heavy metal
