                                                                                                        Label: Silver City Records

                                                                                                        Release Date: 27th March 2020

A year ago we had the pleasure of reviewing Romanian Metallers Scarlet Auras “Hot n Heavy” and they now return with the highly enjoyable and captivating “Stormbreaker” an Album that’s a step up from their previous release this pure bred Classic Metal Sounding platter is a full on killer no filler thriller and has been played every day without fail since I received it a few weeks back.

Full to the brim with titanic riffs a blistering rhythm section and mighty Vocals of Aura Danciulescu you are in for one hell of joyride.

A gentle intro builds into the hell for leather “Metal Hell” a blazing statement of intent that explodes into the room as the Guitars, thunderous Bass and Drums annihilate your senses as Auras Vocals take a grip you picture a tsunami of raised fists and heads banged, this is a killer tune.

The full on Metal Meltdown continues with the frantic and unforgiving “Battle Cry” a Metal Hymn that sees Auras other half Mihai Daniculescu making his Guitar Sing and bleed as Rene Nistors Bass and Doru Florin Gheorghita  Drums have you transfixed and saluting these East European Metal Gods!

The title track “Storm breaker “is up next another full-on pedal to the Metal anthem that continues having you raising your horns and saluting Scarlet Aura. Next up is “Loose Cannon” a true Metallers delight as this chugs and becomes some kind of uncontrollable monster, ripping out your heart while you sing the chorus, it’s totally addictive, with a feel of Maiden this will Rock ya world! As indeed does the whole release as “I Am The One” delivers its intent.

For me the highlight on here is the death defying and remarkable “High in the Sky” the banshees wail from Aura gives you goose bumps and is fucking amazing, it needs to be heard to be believed, much slower in tempo but oh my god this song is magical and outta this world, this lady has so much passion as she spreads her wings and takes you to the heavens with her delicious Vocals. The pounding “The Heretic” is a big brash rocker that’s angsty and deviously infectious. Then the superb and fun “Daddy’s lil Monster” pummels you, it will stay in your head for days, as it hurtles down the tracks on its way to hell.

Penultimate track “A Blast from The Past” bruises and leads to the final number “Scarlets United” an anthem of epic proportions and as with all the tracks on here is going to go down well live. Scarlet Aura are destined to be massive let’s make no bones about it this is one of the Albums of the year for me, this is a tsunami of Classic Metal that must be in your collection!
