Savior from Anger hail from Italy and release their fourth Album at the end of the month, and  It’s not a bad release opening with “Across The Sea” the band set out their stall, its heavy , and catchy, but the sound and production on the Album kind of let's the release down I feel.

 

But I am trying to just concentrate on the actual music. Nearly All of the songs gallop along and are a nonstop feast for fans of this genre of Metal. The highlights for me on the album are “The Eye” the guitar work and vocals really stand out  on this song along with the next track “Thunderheads” its depth and rasping vocals from Metal Veteran Vocalist Bob Mitchell draw you in, then the guitar solo melts the ice caps with pounding drums, it’s a dramatic tune but again the sound seems a bit flat.

 

“Starlight” is a ballad that is good but I am sorry it just goes on for far too long and becomes vapid. Thankfully the pedal is firmly pressed back to the Metal with the next three tracks on here “The Eyes Wide Open” reminds you of Bruce Dickinson, more than once on here you will feel like its Dickinson on vocals, this gallops and pounds along ,  a  virtually nonstop ride of head banging delirium ensues.

 

I think what makes this Album without a doubt are the killer riffs and solos from Mark Ryal especially on penultimate track “Repentance”.

I found all of the tracks bar one good and with a bright Metal tempo . Savior From Anger have been through a lot of lineup changes but hopefully with this line up the band will become a settled unit and get the attention they rightly deserve, basically if you love your American Power Metal this Album won’t disappoint just the sound and production could be a lot better.
