                                       Reaven Interview 20/10/2026

Answered by Romeo Bassi (Lead Singer-Guitarist / Songwriter of the band)

MM: Tell us about your band .. your influences and what took you down this genre of music
- “I (Romeo, lead singer and guitarist of the band) first met Vince (drummer and backing
vocalist) when we were in high school. We actually started our first band when we were just
13 years old! That’s where it all began, right there in our school playground. I simply asked
him, “If I start a band, would you like to be part of it?” He just said, “Yeah, of course!” And
that was it. That’s how everything started. Years later, we met Rudy and André, and they’ve
now been with us for more than six years. It’s pretty crazy to think that something that
started with such a simple question in a school playground eventually turned into all of this!
As for our influences, they’re very broad, ranging from The Beatles and the music of the
’60s and ’70s to more recent bands like Kings of Leon, Placebo and Muse. We’re also
influenced by many different genres, including classical music and rhythm and blues. “

MM:Are there any themes or messages you aim to convey through your music?
- “Life in general, emotions, things that make us react — whether in a good or bad way,
introspection, and observations of the world around us. But even when I write about
something complex or personal, I always try to make it universal enough for every listener
to make it their own and interpret it through their own perspective.”

MM: What can fans expect from you in the near future—new music, tours, collaborations?
- “With the release of the new album, we’ll be filming and releasing new music videos, both
official videos and live ones. The “Reavolution Tour” will definitely keep us busy, and who
knows, maybe we’ll even get the chance to perform another special concert with a
symphony orchestra... So stay tuned, guys!! There’s a lot more to come. We’re coming
your way!!”

MM: Are there any dream venues or festivals you’d love to play?
- Yes! A lot! I’d love to perform at festivals like Sziget, Rock am Ring and Glastonbury. As for
venues, I’d love to play the Olympia or the Accor Arena in France. And, of course, The
Cavern Club — simply because of my love for The Beatles! (laughs)”

MM: What’s been your most memorable live performance so far, and why?
- “With the symphony orchestra, really, it was a dream and on stage it was epic. So intense
!!”
-

MM: How do you prepare for a show, both mentally and physically?
- “Before a show, I always try to take care of my physical well-being. I don’t drink alcohol at
all, and I try to eat something light at least two hours before going on stage. Before a tour, I

exercise regularly, and right before the show, I need at least ten minutes of silence, just
being in my own bubble, to prepare myself mentally.”

MM:What emotions do you hope to evoke in fans when they watch your band live
- A deep connection, something that can truly move them. I want them to feel our energy and
send theirs right back to us on stage, so we can have a blast together. I want them to
dance, to shout, even to cry if the emotions take over. And above all, I want them to
remember that moment as something truly special, and to leave with a smile on their faces.

MM: Do you have any favourite pre-show rituals?
- We have a vocal warm-up together where no one else is allowed, just the band. Then, right
before going on stage, we always hug and say something positive to each other. It’s
become our little ritual, and I love it.

MM: How do you handle criticism or comparisons to other bands in the scene?
- “As long as it’s constructive, I have no problem with it at all. If it isn’t, I simply don’t pay any
attention to it.”

MM: What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a band, and how did you overcome
it?
- “I think one of the biggest challenges has been to keep moving forward no matter what.
Being in a band is a long journey, with incredible highs but also disappointments, doubts
and difficult periods. The music industry has also been facing a challenging economic
situation for years, which has made it even harder to make a living from music and build a
sustainable career. There are so many moments when things don’t go the way you
expected. But we’ve never given up. I think what has helped us overcome all of that is our
friendship, our passion for music and the fact that we’ve always believed in what we’re
doing. We’ve learned to turn difficult moments into motivation, adapt, and just keep moving
forward.”

MM: Where do you see the band in five years, and what’s the ultimate goal for your music?
- “Still touring the world, releasing new albums and performing some crazy shows !! The
ultimate goal would be to always be happy to do what we do, at the end of the day this is
what matters the most.”

MM: Last song you listened to?
- “Georgia on my mind” by Ray Charles” I just put a Rhythm’N’Blues playlist at home.”

MM:Tell us why we should check out your band
- “Because you might discover at least one song that really resonates with you... and who
knows, you might never leave us after that! (laughs)”

MM:Final Words for your fans our readers
“First of all, thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to listen to our music, come to our
shows, share our songs or simply send us a message. It truly means a lot to us. Keep supporting
music, keep discovering new artists, and above all, never be afraid to follow what makes you feel
alive. We really hope to meet you somewhere on the road during the Reavolution Tour. Until then,
take care of yourselves, turn the music up... and welcome to the Reavolution!”
