"Fractured State" is heavy metal  with teeth, claws, and a brain full of mythology, psychology, and human collapse

PYROCLAST don’t just write songs they write stories that stalk and haunt you!

The opener, the bands name funnily enough "Pyroclast" is a volcanic punch to the sternum. Double‑kick fury, riffs that feel like tectonic plates grinding, and a chorus that rises like molten rock. My personal favourite "Slaughterhouse" We get Three minutes fifty of pure, merciless sprinting. It’s a murder story, but not the one you expect it’s about deception, masks, and the horror hiding behind a smile. Short, sharp, savage.

Defiance wrapped in melody the moment where the album stops screaming and starts staring you down as "Break The Tide" washes over you .

A crushing groove that feels like standing chest deep in a storm surge.

Every riff feels like a command you didn’t agree to follow as "Prisoner Game" rocks up as we explore The Stanford Prison Experiment turned into a metal track but smarter, darker, more human.

Theres a fire in your soul as "Brought By Flame" delivers a wildfire of emotions as we delve into memory, ambition, and the cost of progress.  The next track sees PYROCLAST at their most cinematic: A journey into forgotten worlds, driven not by fantasy but by human stubbornness and hope as "Beneath the Beyond" weaves its magic.  Ah Shelley's poem is reborn with "Ozymandias" A slow, regal collapse  empires crumbling, pride dissolving, monuments swallowed by time. It’s heavy metal archaeology, digging through the ruins of ego.

The nine‑minute epic "Erebus and Terror" brings this fine opus to it end. Its a  tribute to the doomed Franklin Expedition not sensationalised, not romanticised, but humanised. It shifts perspectives, builds tension, and ends with a quiet acoustic farewell that hits harder than any scream.

"Fractured State" is a cracking album , furious, thoughtful, mythic, and unafraid to dig into the darkest corners of history and the human mind. It’s heavy metal with a writers brain and a fighter’s heart. Every track stands alone, but together they form a mosaic of pressure, consequence, and transformation
