Persona hail from Tunisia and recently contacted us here at the Metal Gods Meltdown and we are so glad they did. We were going to just have them as a featured band ,but having heard the Album we decided to review the album “Elusive Reflections” as well.

It opens  with “Somebody Else” and you are instantly struck by the musicianship ,it all melds together and takes you on a scintillating journey of Metal with a Middle Eastern vibe, it’s a terrific opener that then leads to the song that got me hooked on this band the awesome “Blinded” it rises  and falls  making  you feel like you are on a magic carpet ride gliding, swaying and floating over the red hot deserts of North Africa. The guitar solo is solid , and combined with the beautiful vocals from Jelena Dobric  it draws you in and leaves you transfixed.

“Forgotten “ is simply  remarkable, a song that is all encompassing it shows how extremely talented Persona are, the mix of Arabic melodies and Metal is divine.

“Halley” has some amazing solo's guitar and keyboards combine with stunning vocals, simply put its fantastic. “Ageless” will leave you stunned the solos fit into the music with such ease it leaves you spellbound and is totally absorbing.

“Monsters” is a powerful and engaging piece it’s a faster track and will see you head banging and showing your  horns!  “He Kills Me More” is a progressive dream like piece it opens slowly and mesmerizes . “Persona” has some beautiful lyrics, and again some stunning musicianship.

“The Sea of the Fallen Stars” brings the Album to a close with its symphonic back ground and Arabian textures it leaves you captivated.

Your jaw will hit the floor when you realize they aren’t signed to any one!!

It can’t be easy to get the world’s attention when you live in North Africa, although Myrath are from Tunisia and have managed to get out there, I so hope the same can happen for Persona.

We can but aspire that this review helps and gets them the attention they rightly deserve ,  you need to hear this band!!
