                                                                                     Ohmwork Interview  09/10/2026

MM: Tell us about your band .. your influences and what took you down this genre of musicWe are Ohmwork from Tromso in the northen part of Norway. We are a three piece metal/doom/progish band.Mostly inspired of 70s-80s-90s hard rock/metal likes of Black sabbath, Dio etc. That’s the kinda music we listen to as kids, and always liked. So it felt natural to make that.

MM:Are there any themes or messages you aim to convey through your music? Not much in sutch. We write about themes that inspire us and we find exciting. Horror, sci fi ,andjust people going insane. That kinda stuff.

MM: What can fans expect from you in the near future—new music, tours, collaborations? In 2027 we will hopefully hit the road again. Only two gigs at this point, but more to come.Maybe we come up with a tune or two if we're up to it.

MM: Are there any dream venues or festivals you’d love to play?Lots of nice festivals we would like to play. Cant really come up with any particulary rigth now..

MM: What’s been your most memorable live performance so far, and why?At a festival in Hungary. Only time we played outside of Norway, so that was a milestone for theband.MM: How do you prepare for a show, both mentally and physically?Try to stay focused on the gig. Meaning that, try not to drink to much.

MM:What emotions do you hope to evoke in fans when they watch your band liveCuriosity. Especially new listeners who never heard or seen us.MM: Do you have any favourite pre-show rituals?Speaking for myself, I smoke. Really really really much. A quick prayer to Dark Lord Cthulhu, im good to go.

MM: How do you handle criticism or comparisons to other bands in the scene?I like to think we handle it quite good. Being compared to others I take as a compliment.Especially when its band we never thought we would be compared to.

MM: What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a band, and how did youovercome it?Being an independent band with no management, its challenging to book jobs. But we do itanyway.

MM: Where do you see the band in five years, and what’s the ultimate goal for yourmusic?Hopefully we are touring in Europe at festivals.Reach out to the masses with the music.

MM: Last song you listened to?Champagne minivan by Puny Humans.
