Night Thieves Interview 23/02/2026
MM: Your Album "Metaxis" doesn't get released until March, how impatient are you guys for release date
The album was completed in September so we can’t wait for it to be released now! There’s a lot of preparation and work that goes into releasing singles and an album. Everything takes time so you do have to be patient and not rush things, but the excitement is building for us as the release gets closer
MM: You released "Mycelia" to rave reviews world wide, how pleasing is it to see your hard work starting to bring such results
Mycelia introduced quite a different sound compared to our previous releases and we thought that it was a gamble to release it as a single. But it’s paid off and the response has been great!
MM: Your sound is electrifying, deep and intense. How would you describe your sound in four words - We like your description! Emotional, Melodic, Unique,
MM: Love the album cover will you be having it framed alongside the impending "Gold" record! The album art was created by True Spilt Milk who is an amazing artist and lovely guy. He created a stunning piece of art with amazing detail and we have actually already had it printed, framed, and hung on the wall! As for a gold record, we’ll keep dreaming for now.
MM: Will you be having a release party and plans to stream it live
We will definitely be having some celebratory drinks on release day and we will continue the celebrations on our UK tour in April.
MM: Which would you say is your favourite track on the Album today and why
At the moment we’re still riding high on Mycelia. It’s been really fun to rehearse and we can’t wait to play it live! But there is a song called See You On The Other Side which is a favorite. It has quite an epic feel, a big anthemic chorus with a touch of prog. It’s quite a unique song and if you like Mycelia, we think you'll love this.
MM: Plans for tour and festivals for the year and do u hope to spread your wings worldwide
We have a run of UK dates in February and April, with more to be added. Then we have 7 festivals across the rest of the year including, Hammerdown, SOS, and Northants Rocks. The others will be announced very soon! We would love to play across Europe and hopefully the album will help make that happen.
MM: Which Band would be your ultimate touring buddies
There are so many on this list, our hero’s in Incubus and Bring Me the Horizon would be a dream to tour with, but also bands we are currently listening to like Novelists and Northlane would be insane.
MM:The world of music continues to change constantly how hard is it to get noticed and get recognition for your work
The world of music continues to change constantly how hard is it to get noticed and get recognition for your work
The changing world has made it both easier and more difficult to get noticed now. On one hand we have platforms that enable every artist to release music and be seen, but then there is so much music out there that it’s hard to stand out from the crowd. We try and focus on reaching people who we think would like our music and spread the word. One of the main things we try to do is support other artists and create a great community of bands that champion each other.
MM:What album first introduced u to rock/metal music
Between us there’s the Black album by Metallica, Nevermind by Nirvana, Make Yourself by Incubus, Appetite For Destruction by Guns n’ Roses
MM:If there was a song about yourself what would it be called
‘What did I forget this time’
MM:What superpower would you choose for yourself for one day
Mind control. To make streaming services pay artists what they deserve… and maybe the world love our album hahah!
MM: Four words to describe Night Thieves
Epic, soaring, massive, earworms
5 fast questions:
1.Festival or small intimate gig - small intimate gig
2.Vinyl or digital - Vinyl
3.Would you rather have a merch table run by a hyper‑enthusiastic grandma or by a bored teenager who hates music? Hyper‑enthusiastic grandma!
4.Would you rather your tour rider be limited to either lukewarm tea or suspiciously warm beer? Beer is beer, right?
5. If your band had to survive on either gas‑station sandwiches or backstage hummus for an entire tour, what’s your poison? Gas-station sandwiches. Never trust backstage hummus!
Any final Words for your fans and our readers?
