Italian band  Lola Stonecracker are in a word Fantastic.   I recently saw these guys supporting Faster Pussycat and invested a few pounds in buying their album 'Sharks'.

I was not disappointed at all, well except for the last track, but I digress.

The album starts with Indian music then goes into the Sleazy but catchy 'Jigsaw'.  'Witchy Lady' is a slower, bluesy number with a generous helping of some soul funk, (Sounds naff I hear you say) far from it, these guys really Rock!.  Love the guitar Loops on this track.

Starting up with a Yeeeoh, Yeaah 'McKennys Place' is a foot-stomping fun track which will stay in your head.  The next three tracks 'Call This Time', 'Way Out' and 'Vulnerable' remind me very much of bands like Extreme and Winger, with a bit of Chilli Peppers added to the mix, and that no bad thing, so you really can't go wrong.

This Album is a great selection, except for the final track, which is a version of Frankie Goes To Hollywood's 'Relax'!.  Why oh why did they even

contemplate this? Well it's beyond me.

When I saw them supporting Faster Pussycat they did a brilliant version of the Misfits 'Attitude', that could have been the final track.  Anyway that

was the only downer on the whole EP.

This band are excellent when doing a live gig, and have produced a great album to listen to time and time again.

Like a fine Italian Wine, Lola Stonecracker are full bodied and satisfying.
