Leaving Eden Interview 17/08/2025
MM: Tell us about your band .. your influences and what took you down this genre of music
Hi, I’m Eric Gynan Co-founder of the bands Leaving Eden & Silver Springs Fleetwood Mac
Tribute
(2 different bands with the same members). A little introduction.
USA, Boston MA
Label: Verdict Music, Sony/Universal World Wide Distribution
Members:
Eve Lead vocals
Alyssa Bailey White Keys/Vocals
Jake Gynan Drums
Rich Chouinard Bass/Vocals
Eric Gynan Guitar/Vocals.
I always say we play different genres of music, not just one. Yes, you’ll see Metal and Rock but
you’ll also see folk, slow, punk, pop, even dance. It’s really what comes to mind.
MM:Are there any themes or messages you aim to convey through your music?
Our music is based in reality. It comes from real life experiences, happy, sad, good, evil, our
struggles and fun times.
MM: What can fans expect from you in the near future—new music, tours, collaborations?
We’ve released School’s Out originally by Alice Cooper, Rendition By Leaving Eden Official
Music Video: https://youtu.be/VC3ObaMKTSg?si=dtJLe_IFxo3LMt-v
It’s a great take on an old song with a female lead vocal. A little more heavier than the original
and I think folks will love it!

MM: How do you prepare for a show, both mentally and physically? Do you have any favourite
pre-show rituals?
It’s true, gotta get your mind ready for it. To go from say relaxing, hanging out to hitting the road,
away from home for long periods of time, it’s not for everyone for sure. So I get in a state of
mind with a little help from my friends. I’m always working out staying in shape as the stage
show is quite calisthenic. I choose to be outdoors always when working out, trying to keep it
real.
MM:What emotions do you hope to evoke in fans when they watch your band liveLove! Lots of energy. Being together in the moment and then the moments gone. Appreciate our
time together. We are all in this together so it’s nice to get away from the grind of life and have
some fun.
MM: How do you handle criticism or comparisons to other bands in the scene?
Everyone compares music. This sounds a lot like this, I think it’s so natural to do so. I always
listen to criticism because people wouldn’t say it if they didn’t think it was true unless of course
they’re just a jealous asshole.
MM: What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a band, and how did you overcome it?
Keeping a group of people together for a long time. You gotta appreciate everyone’s feelings
and views. Can’t just be a Dick head. Yes someone has to take the lead, but that doesn’t mean
youre a dictator. Gotta have compassion but also set boundaries so you're not stepped on.
MM: Where do you see the band in five years, and what’s the ultimate goal for your music?
We will continue writing, recording and touring, breaking into new and exciting territories as we
forge ahead. It’s always nice to have folks listen to our songs, that’s the whole reason and
maybe they can relate, or maybe someone is looking for an answer or some kind of sign, who
knows right?
MM: Last song you listened to?
Deep Purple’s Smoke on the water. Richie Blackmore man. He is uniquely incredible. Even that
solo, picking every note, no pull offs, no shredding, and his scales untraditional in my humble
opinion.
MM:Tell us why we should check out your band
I always say Leaving Eden is always best seen live. You couldn’t possibly get the real thing by
looking at a video. It’s an experience watching Eve and the band. It’s a connection with all
present.
MM:Final Words for your fans our readers
Of course without our friends we are nothing, so we are only thankful.
