In Malice’s Wake
Title:The Profound Darkness
Label: Independent
Release Date: 1st May 2026
In Malice’s Wake return with an album forged in the furnace of nightmares, sharpened on the bones of the old world, and delivered with the conviction of a band who no longer perform Thrash Metal…They wield it with a Death Metal tinge of hellishness!
This record is a descent into a ritual, a deliberate walk into the jaws of something ancient and merciless. Every track feels like a torch held to the face of the abyss, and the abyss finally blinking back.
The opening invocation, “The Profound Darkness,” doesn’t welcome you; it claims you. A slow, ominous swell that feels like the ground cracking beneath your feet, it sets the tone for an album that refuses to offer comfort, only confrontation.
“Beyond Death” erupts with the fury of a battlefield resurrected. The riffs strike like steel meeting bone, the drums thunder with apocalyptic intent, and the vocals tear through the mix like a prophet screaming at the end of days.
It’s Thrash as it was meant to be: unrepentant, unrelenting, and utterly alive.
With “By Tongues of Demons,” the band channels something ritualistic a, rattle snake, venom‑dripping anthem that coils around the listener and tightens with every passing second. It’s a track that feels summoned rather than written.
“Numb to Paradise” is a cold revelation, a rejection of false heavens and hollow promises. The band carve out a space where rage becomes clarity, and clarity becomes a weapon.
“Upon My Flesh” is a raw, unfiltered exorcism. Every scream feels torn from the ribcage, every riff a scar reopened. It’s one of the most emotionally charged moments.
Then comes “The Great Purifier,” a track that burns everything in its path. This is Thrash as a cleansing fire violent, precise, and absolute. A declaration that nothing impure survives the storm.
As the descent deepens, “Away from the Light” drags the listener into a shadowed chamber of introspection, its a unrelenting thrashers delight!
The closing blow, “The Darkness Below Us,” is monumental a suffocating, abyssal finale that doesn’t simply end the album, but entombs it. It leaves the listener suspended in the void, breathless, changed.
In Malice’s Wake have crafted a record that transcends genre expectations. This is not just Thrash it is myth‑making, a sonic scripture carved in fire and shadow. The band sound more focused, more feral, and more spiritually charged than ever before.
A devastating, immersive, and fiercely commanding release this album doesn’t just demand your attention; it devours it.
