MM: Can you tell us about your Band and whos your biggest influences
Johan Niemann: Håbrand is Carl Westholm and myself. The idea is total freedom. We
send each other ideas to which the other can add whatever they want.
Musical influences include, but are not limited to, Yes, ELP, King Crimson, NIN, Sunn
O))).
 

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from
JN: Music, movies, books.
 

MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?
JN: I don’t have one.
 

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2023
JN: We don’t have any shows planned, as this band is a studio project. That might
change in the future, though.
 

MM: What can we expect from Habrand live
JN: That remains to be seen.
 

MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring
JN: My favorite parts are the playing and the hanging with friends. The worst is all the
waiting. At airports, backstage, wherever.
 

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
JN: It would be amazing to tour with King Crimson, Tool and Depeche Mode.
 

MM: Whats the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why 
JN: I saw King Crimson on the ”Power To Believe” tour. That was insanely good. A
definite check off the ol’ bucketlist.
 

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with
JN: We are right in the cradle of this band, having just released our debut album. So I
guess the biggest thing is the album.
 

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
JN: Olivier Messiaen’s ”Oeuvres Orgue” and Stravinsky’s ”Firebird Suite”.
 

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people
watching you? 
JN: I was nervous as hell. Had tunnelvision and the whole works. Luckily, that has
changed.
 

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
JN: Kiss and Iron Maiden were the two big ones when I was a kid.
 

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person

JN: I’d say Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne.
 

MM - Whats the most important thing to the band right now?
JN: To write music and have fun doing it.

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
JN: I think ”Blue Jay Way” by the Beatles would suit us quite well.
 

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band
JN: You should listen to us if you want to hear something different. If you’re tired of the
usual loud, distorted guitars and double bass drums with screaming vocals on top. We
have none of that.
 

MM: Four words to describe Habrand
JN: Ambient, atmospheric, dark, industrial.
