Electron interview 07/03/23
MM: Can you tell us about your Band and who is your biggest influences
Electron: We are a Metal trio from London (UK) known for our fierce and ferocious sound. Our music reflects all the anger and frustration that comes from the difficult times this world is immersed into. Besides our personal experiences, the stuff we read, see and feel, our sound is also influenced by the music we listen to - Metallica, Alter Bridge, Halestorm, Rammstein, Led Zeppelin, 5FDP… We listen to anything from classical music to the blues, from old school rock’n’roll to modern metalcore, we believe that we’re forging a new sound within the Metal genre by comprising all these different nuances into the writing of our music.
MM: What would you say is your Bands favourite song ?
Electron: Ahhh, we don’t have one. Every track we have written are little pieces from our personality and they reflect different periods of time and emotions that we’ve endured. It’s impossible to choose just one song, because every track comes directly from our hearts.
MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2023
Electron: Firstly, we’re focusing on finishing recording our debut album. Then we will start looking for gigs. However, we’re already discussing the possibility of touring the UK, Italy and Portugal this year. Let’s see how things develop.
MM: What can we expect from your band live
Electron: Lots of energy, insanity and loud amps. We take pride in the work we make and we play every show like it was the last show of our lives. We like to make sure everyone is having a good time and the response so far has been amazing! Our fans are very engaging and energetic and that pushes us to new levels of ferocity in every show.
MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
Electron: Tough one. We have been blessed by having shared stages with amazing musicians and bands last year, such as Kardinal X, Voltstorm, Scatter The Tribe, Andy Martongelli (Ellefson/Arthemis)… So we’re gonna try and choose artists that we haven’t played with - Solence, Korn and Alter Bridge.
MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why
Electron: Foo Fighters at London Stadium. What a show and what an energetic concert it was! Absolutely incredible. Also, we really enjoyed watching While She Sleeps at the Underworld last year.
MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with Electron
Electron: To be fair, this band is growing so fast that there are many good moments and accomplishments. I think our first international gig was a major step for us - Vila Fest in Portugal. But also, getting the support from Spotify’s team by promoting 'Sick And Wrong' across 4 editorial playlists and getting airplay in Total Rock.
MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
Electron: Dark Side of The Moon by Pink Floyd and The Black Album by Metallica.
MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live with Electron and how it felt to have people watching you?
Electron: It was incredible and made us realise that we are destined to play together. At our first gig we already had great communication on stage and a fierce energy. Also, we love having people attending our shows - it’s so good to share our message with anyone, really.
MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person
Electron: I don’t think there’s only one person. In each decade, there was someone who completely revolutionised the music industry - Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Linkin Park, Dio, Sabbath… All these artists rewrote the “rules” and changed music forever and I believe it is unfair to just state one of them, when all of them shared the same importance to this industry across different periods of time.
MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?
Electron: getting our record done! It’s almost, just another month and a half. We can’t wait!
MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
Electron: Metallica - Blackened. Simply because it is my favourite song.
MM: If there was a heavy metal song about yourself what would it be called
Electron: There is… But it hasn’t been released yet and I can’t reveal its name ahah. Stay tuned, when our album drops, you will know it for sure!
MM: Tell us why we should check out and listen to your Band
Electron: Are you tired of over-processed and auto tuned garbage? Do you want to hear music that means something in this period time, but also has a good amount of old-school vibe? Do you like loud, fast and vicious metal? Well, go check us out now - we are all that and more!
MM: Four words to describe Electron
Electron: Loud, Fast, Fierce, Heavy.
five questions:

Electron: Vinyl!
2. Saints or sinners
Electron: Sinners - always!
3. Beer or Jack Daniels
Electron: JD all the way. But i do enjoy a cold beer from time to time.

Electron: Festivals because of the environment when it’s well organised!
