                                                                                            The Rockit King  30/06/2023

MM: Can you tell us about your Band and who are your biggest influences
Jes Beveridge - Vocals: The Rockit King is a Michigan Rock 'N' Roll band all the way to the bank.  Lots of sing-along choruses, lots of harmony guitars.  Plenty of Blues, plenty of heavy, plenty of shuffle.  We cover a lot of ground musically.  As far as influences are concerned, growing up there was lots Southern Rock & Blues, Bob Segar, Neil Young, Lonnie Mack, the Allman Bros. Band.  As a teenager it was all the great music of the late 80's & early '90's.  Faith No More, Living Colour, Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam.  There was so much fantastic music from that era to draw from.

MM: Where do you draw your inspirations and ideas from
JB: Life lived.  Personal experiences.  We keep it as real as you can.

MM: What would you say is your Bands favorite song ?
JB: Currently it would be our new single "So Long Goodbye".  It is quintessential Rockit King.

MM: Plans tour and festival wise for 2023
JB: Michigan gigs and a Michigan Festival date in September.  Back in the studio in November to record three singles for next year then some road work coming up for '24.

MM: What can we expect from The Rockit King live
JB: A solid Rock 'N' Roll show, copious amounts of kicking ass.  Heavy guitars, an in-the-pocket rhythm section, from-the-gut singing.  It's the real deal.  Come and see us!

MM: What do you like best and worst abt touring
JB: The best is playing our tunes to new audiences and generally spreading the word.  The worst is probably the dough (or lack thereof).

MM: Which three Bands would be your ultimate touring buddies
JB: Foo Fighters, Megadeth & Beartooth.

MM: What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why
JB: Certainly one of the fifteen or so Pantera shows.

MM: What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment so far with
JB: Longevity.

MM: Which are your Two favourite Albums of all time
JB: Faith No More's  Angel Dust and Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power

MM: Can you remember the first time you ever played live and how it felt to have people watching you?
JB: I played a drum solo on my Dad's drummer's kit before a Molly Hatchet show when I was four.  Crowd went nuts.  I'll never forget it.

MM: Growing up which Bands posters did you have on your bedroom wall.
JB: Metallica & Faith No More.  Anthrax.  Living Colour.

MM - Who do you think influenced the world of Metal / Rock more than any other person
JB: Ozzy.

MM - What's the most important thing to the band right now?
JB: Making consistently great music.  We're on a mission...

MM:If you could do a cover of any song which one would it be and why?
JB: Maybe "The Boys Are Back In Town" by Thin Lizzy?  That one is right up our alley.

MM: Tell us why we should buy and listen to your Band
JB: Because we ROCK.  If you dig what we do, please support what we do.

MM: Four words to describe The Rockit King
JB: Loud, Harmony, Heavy, Bluesy.

Final Words for your fans and our readers
JB: Greetings from Michigan USA!  Please check out our new single "So Long Goodbye" on your favorite streaming service, and come party with us when we visit your town!!
